Harford County Health Offers Children COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

Since children ages 5 and up are eligible, the Harford County Health Department is offering two COVID-19 vaccine clinics for kids.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The Harford County Health Department is offering clinics for children to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Kids 5 to 11 years old are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine, after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authorized the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children.

The clinics in Harford County are slated for Wednesday, Nov. 10, in Edgewood and Friday, Nov. 12, in Bel Air.

Wednesday's clinic will be for kids 5 to 11 years old; Friday's clinic will be open to those age 5 to 17.

It will be from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Harford County Health Department's center at 1321 Woodbridge Station Way, Edgewood, MD 21040. Due to construction at the intersection of Woodbridge Station Way and Woodbridge Center Way, people should enter the health department at the top of the hill on US 40/Pulaski Highway, between the Harford County Sheriff's Office and APGFCU. The second dose of the vaccine for children vaccinated at this clinic will be scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Click here to make an appointment for the Friday clinic through the health department. The COVID-19 vaccine will be given from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patterson Mill Middle/High School, 85 Patterson Mill Rd., Bel Air, MD 21015. A second dose will be scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4.

Parents will schedule the appointment for their children to get the second dose after they receive the first dose, organizers say.
