Harford Technical High School Celebrates 2013 Graduation
Harford Tech was the final Harford County school to graduate this year.
On the first day of his freshman year, Russell Fiol introduced himself to HArford Technical High School Principal Charles Hagan.
Hagan said Fiol walked up to him in the cafeteria and said, "Just wanted to let you know I'm going to be the valedictorian of my graduating class."
Four years later, Fiol's prediction proved correct.

The young man took the stage Friday as valedictorian and took the opportunity to say a few words to his fellow graduates.
"Don't ever let failure discourage you from a dream," Fiol said. "Refer back to Mr. [Michael] Jordan and 'make it happen.'"

Fiol also thanked his father and mother for all they have done for him.
"I am my mother's son," Fiol said, telling his mom from the podium she is his role model.
"I love you too Russell," his mom called back from her seat.
While rain prevented the graduates from carrying out the tradition of throwing their caps in the air outside the school, they did toss their caps as a group in the gymnasium.
