Historic Post Office in Bel Air Celebrates 75 Years
The Historical Society of Harford County held an event last week to honor the Old Post Office in Bel Air.

For three-quarters of a century the post office has stood in Bel Air.
Located at 143 N. Main Street, the Old Post Office now serves host to the Historical Society of Harford County.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the post office's opening, and last week the historical society honored the building.

"It’s a tribute to the original builders that this building has lasted this long without a major rehabilitation," Peden said in a release, "But we are now dealing with issues like a leaking roof and leaking windows as well as plumbing and electrical issues that just have to be addressed."
The Department of Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, got the ball rolling by donating $50,000—10 percent of the goal.
