Snow Is In The Forecast - How Many Inclement Weather Days Does Harford Schools Have Left?

There's 2 rounds of snow forecast in the coming days. How many inclement weather days does HCPS have? What happens when they're used up?

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — With more snow and potentially slick roads in the short-term forecast, where does Harford County Public Schools sit as far as snow days?

Jillian Lader, manager of communications for Harford County Public Schools, told Patch that the school district has used only two of its six inclement weather days built into the calendar. Parents wanting to know where the school sits for school days can check that out online.

"We keep an inclement weather calendar on the website; always give it a minute after a weather event because our technology team updates it manually, but it does stay as up to date as possible," Lader said.

Another chance of snow is possible on Sunday and could follow light rain showers on Saturday. According to forecasters, the system could develop into a winter storm with the greatest chance for snowfall during the late morning hours into the afternoon.

"Some models have shown the potential for an inch or two of accumulation, but confidence in that is still pretty low," the Capital Weather Gang said in its latest forecast.
