McDonald's To Become Hickory Dairy Queen's New Neighbor

The fast food joint will soon have a new location in Hickory.

Dairy Queen is gaining McDonald's as a neighbor, with a new Hickory location currently under construction next door to the ice cream shop.

The site at 1502 Conowingo Road, at the intersection of Conowingo Road and the Hickory Bypass, shows signs of change.

A building permit has been issued by the county and S. Thomas Contracting, a based excavation company in charge of developing the site, confirms the McDonald's is currently under construction.
