Belair Road Crash: 1 Flown By Medevac, Officials Say
Firefighters had to rescue someone trapped in a crash on Route 1 Friday afternoon, fire officials said.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — One person was flown to an area hospital Friday afternoon following a crash on US 1/Belair Road, according to officials.
Before 3 p.m, several vehicles collided in the area of Route 1 at Wilgis Road, according to the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.
First responders from Fallston and Kingsville worked to rescue someone who was trapped as a result of the collision, according to authorities.

They used a hydraulic ram to get the victim out, officials said.
Others had gotten out on their own before fire and emergency medical personnel arrived at the crash site, according to authorities.

Two people refused to be taken to the hospital by ambulance, and a medevac flew one person to an area trauma center with injuries that Fallston officials described as "potentially serious but non-life-threatening."
A helicopter was slated to land at Reckord Road Park, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer fire Company.
Officials from Maryland State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
