Motorcycle Fire Under Investigation; No Injuries, Deaths Reported

A 1996 Harley Davidson motorcycle sustained $5,000 of damage after it was discovered in flames off of Pulaski Highway Sunday night.

JOPPA, MD — A Sunday evening motorcycle fire in Joppa that caused $5,000 of damage is currently under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The fire occurred at around 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, the State Fire Marshal's office said in a news release. It was discovered by a passerby at the intersection of Pulaski Highway and Joppa Farm Road.

No injuries or deaths were reported, though a 1996 Harley Davidson xl883 Sportster sustained damage, according to the news release.

Firefighters took five minutes to control the fire. Its area of origin and preliminary cause are both under investigation, the news release said.
