National Night Out in Bel Air Tuesday

BEL AIR, MD — National Night Out, an annual community-building event celebrated in hundreds of neighborhoods across the country, will be held Tuesday in several Bel Air communities, with a kick-off event at the Target shopping center.

Residents will turn on the front porch light to support policing efforts and crime reduction in their neighborhoods. Many of these communities will hold cookouts, street parties and other events, with the support of local law enforcement.

Target's national night out event will run from 5-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 580 Marketplace Drive. The Harford County Sheriff's Office, Maryland State Police and Harford County Fire and Rescue will be attending.

There will be food, drinks, music and games and prizes for kids.
