Nomination Someone Deserving For Harford Civil Rights Project Leadership Award
Nominations are being accepted now through Jan. 24 for the 3rd annual Harford Civil Rights Project Leadership Award.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Nominations are being accepted for the third annual Harford Civil Rights Project Leadership Award now through Jan. 24.
The HCRP will publicly announce the award recipient at a reception at Harford Community College’s Student Center on Feb. 27.
The Harford Civil Rights Project supports and recognizes individuals and organizations who
promote civil rights concepts such as legal equality, human dignity, equitable opportunities,
universal freedom and individual empowerment. The HCRP Civil Rights Leadership Award
honors individuals who have made "substantial contributions in greater Harford County and/or
are from Harford County and have made contributions elsewhere."

The focus of individual civil rights work by nominees may be on any aspect of community life, organizers said, including the following: arts, historical documentation, education, government, justice, neighborhoods, recreation, religion, volunteerism, youth, etc. The nomination form can be found here.
