Police Ask Residents To Check Vehicles For Signs Of Break-Ins
Bel Air detectives are searching for the suspect wanted in connection to vehicle break-ins and ransacking that happened Wednesday.
BEL AIR, MD — Residents are being asked to review home camera systems and dig through their vehicles to see if they were a victim of a vehicle break-in.
On Oct. 8 around 11:20 p.m., a vehicle was stolen from the 400 block of East Broadway. Officers arrested the suspect Oct. 9 in the morning and recovered the vehicle. While investigating the incident, police officers discovered that the same suspect likely accessed multiple vehicles in the area and stole property during the overnight, the police department reported.
"We believe some residents may have discovered their vehicles ransacked this morning, but have not yet reported it to police. Anyone who believes they may be a victim is asked to contact us so we can document the incident and work to return stolen property to its rightful owners," the police department reported. "We remind residents to lock their vehicles and remove their valuables."
