Portable Weapons Detection System Rolled Out At Harford County Schools
Harford County Public Schools will be using a portable weapons detection system at the high school level, as well as at other schools.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Harford County Public Schools announced they will start using new portable weapons detection system in schools.
Open Gate weapons detection systems will be used at high schools, and also at the middle and elementary schools if needed, school officials said. Because it is portable, it will be brought out for special events, such as dances, officials said.
Students as well as staff and visitors will need to go through the system when it's set up, the school district said.
