Snow Expected Thursday Night In Bel Air

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory to take effect Thursday night and last into early Friday morning.

Snow is expected in Bel Air sometime after 9 p.m. Thursday. The forecast calls for a low around 25 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 100 percent, according to the National Weather forecast. New snow accumulation of two to four inches is possible.

The heaviest snow is expected between 10 p.m. Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday when snowfall rates of one inch per hour are possible, weather forecasters said.

Residents should plan on slippery road conditions, which could impact the Friday morning commute.

Heading into Friday morning, expect mostly cloudy skies which gradually turn sunny, with a high near 32.

Friday night calls for mostly clear skies, with a low around 18.

Moving into the weekend, there is also a chance of snow for Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.
