Suspect Arrested In Joppa Dispensary Robberies
The suspect wanted in connection to two robberies that happened in 2021 and 2023 at the Rise Dispensary in Joppa has been arrested.
JOPPA, MD — A District Heights man has been arrested and charged in connection to the robberies of the Rise Dispensary in Joppa.
The robberies took place March 16, 2021, and November 13, 2023, at the Rise Dispensary. According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, on March 16, 2021, around 7:50 p.m., officers were called to the dispensary for a report of an armed robbery. An employee told police that a man broke into the business after hours and assaulted the employee, then stole cash and took off, the sheriff's office said.
Then on Nov. 13, 2023, around 5:06 p.m., officers were called to the dispensary for another report of an armed robbery. Deputies spoke with an employee of a money currier service company that was picking up cash from the business. A suspect pointed a gun at the employee during the robbery. The registration on the suspect's vehicle showed it had been stolen, detectives said.

Detectives have since identified Donald Raymond Tilghman, 38, as the suspect. He is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center after being arrested without incident in Washington, D.C.
