Week Ahead: Quarter Auction, CROP Walk, Sew-In

The Harfrod CROP walk is being held in Aberdeen on Saturday.

Looking for something to do this week? Here's a rundown of some events. 

Quarter Auction for the Kurt Chenowith Foundation
When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
Where: Bel Air Moose Lodge, 310 E Jarrettsville Rd.
Details: Kurt was a Baltimore County Firefighter, but grew up and attended school in Harford County. He also began his firefighting career volunteering for Fallston Fire Company.

Havre de Haunts
When: Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.
Where: Concord Point Coffee, 217 N. Washington Street in Havre de Grace 
Details: Experience ghostly-guided walking tours.

Harford CROP Hunger 5K Walk/Run
When: Saturday, 8:30 a.m.
Where: Festival Park in Aberdeen
Details:  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Zumba warm-up at 8:45 a.m. and opening ceremonies at 9 a.m.

Sew-In at Jo-Ann Fabrics
When: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Jo-Ann Fabrics in Bel Air
Details: Pretty Pockets are a discreet and spirited way to secure post-surgical drains.

Local Youth Help Organize Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon
When: Sunday, noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Trinity Lutheran Church in Joppa
Details: Some of Trinity Lutheran Church's youngest members are orchestrating the church’s first Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon, which will raise funds for cancer research among other things.

‘Paint the Town Pink’
When: All Week
Where: Participating Bel Air businesses
Details: The Town of Bel Air is working to “Paint the Town Pink” in an effort to raise cancer awareness.
