Wife Charged With Attempted Murder In Shooting Of Husband, Juvenile Called 911 For Help
A Joppa woman faces attempted murder charges in the shooting of her husband. A juvenile called 911 from their home to report the incident.
JOPPA, MD — A Joppa wife has been arrested after Harford County police say she shot her husband in the stomach.
The incident happened Jan. 23 around 3:05 p.m. at the couple's home located in the 700 block of Pickerel Place. A juvenile had called 911 and when Harford County sheriff's deputies arrived, they found the wife, Evelyn Milne, 34, and the child leaving the home.
Joseph Milne, 35, was found by officers in the home suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a trauma center with serious injuries by a medical helicopter.

The sheriff's office said the couple was involved in an altercation that led to Evelyn Milne shooting her husband.
She was arrested at the scene and taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where she was charged with first- and second-degree attempted murder. After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Evelyn Milne is being held without bail.
