Armed Robbery Of Bethesda 7-Eleven Investigated By Police: Video

BETHESDA, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department released video of suspects in an armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in Bethesda on Oct. 5.

At about 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, police were dispatched to the 7-Eleven in the 5100 block of River Road. Police learned that two suspects entered the store and placed merchandise on the counter at the cash register.

One of the suspects provided payment to the employee for the items and was given change back from the register. At that time, the second suspect announced the armed robbery by lifting his shirt and displaying a handgun, police said.

The two suspects then told the employee to open the cash register and demanded money. When the employee complied with the suspects demands, one suspect reached over the counter and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, police said.

The two suspects then left the store. Montgomery County Police have learned that two additional suspects remained outside the 7-Eleven to serve as lookouts.

The two suspects from inside the store left the store in a four-door sedan. The two suspects who served as lookouts followed behind the sedan in a Range Rover, police said.

Police described one of the suspects who entered the 7-Eleven as a Black male, about 20-years-old. He is about 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs 160 to 170 pounds. He is described as having a skinny build with a medium complexion. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, gray shirt, white sneakers, a black ski mask, baseball cap and sunglasses, police said.

The second suspect who entered the 7-Eleven is described as a Black male, about 20-years-old. He is approximately 6-feet to 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weigh 160 to 170 pounds. He is described as having a skinny build with a medium complexion. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, black coat, light colored blue jeans, white sneakers, a black ski mask, dark-colored gloves and sunglasses. He was also carrying a black handgun, according to police.

The two suspects who were seen waiting outside the store are described as wearing all black clothing.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect. Callers can remain anonymous, police said.
