Celebrate the Fourth with the "Let Freedom Ring" Bell Ringing Ceremony at Veteran's Park in Bethesda. The event is hosted by the Ark and Dove Society and the Maryland Children of the American Revolution. Call 703-425-4568 for more information.

Montgomery County will be holding one of its Fourth of July celebrations in Germantown— specifically 18041 Central Park Cir. in Boyds. Enjoy family-friendly activities, food vendors and music from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will be performing. Attendees can bring lawn chairs, food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Enjoy a variety band beginning at 7p.m July 4., followed by a fireworks display at dusk -- around 9:25p.m.
A parade through Takoma Park begins at 10a.m.. Enjoy a community BBQ and wiffleball tournament. Fireworks are on tap for the evening at Takoma Park Middle School.
The City of Rockville is celebrating the July 4 at the Montgomery College Rockville Campus, 51 Mannakee St. in Rockville. The live bands will begin playing at 7 p.m. and the fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Montgomery County's other celebration will be the Mid-County Sparkles event at Albert Einstein High School, 11135 Newport Mill Rd. in Kensington. There will be a concert by Bobby and the Believers at 7:30 p.m. A fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. There will not be any parking at the high school. A shuttle will pick up at Westfield Wheaton and Wheaton Metro Station and drop off at Einstein High School.
Live music starts at 6p.m. at the Poolesville Polo Grounds, 14660 Hughes Road in Poolesville. Fireworks start at 9p.m. Parking is $5 per car. Call (301) 972-8888 for more info.
Celebrate Independence Day a little early at the National Harbor. On July 2, the event will go from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will feature live bands, food, a log roll competition and, of course, a fireworks display. It costs $40 to attend.
On July 3 and July 4, enjoy music and fireworks in the nation’s capital. Stick around for the National Fireworks display. It costs between $24.99 and $49.99 to attend the Freedom Fest.
