Aventino, AP Pizza Shop To Open In Bethesda In Early 2023: Report

BETHESDA, MD — A new Italian restaurant and a pizza shop are on track to open in downtown Bethesda in early 2023.

Work has begun on Aventino’s restaurant and AP Pizza Shop at 4747 Bethesda Avenue, according to Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row. Both restaurants will be on the ground floor of an office building at the location.

Aventino will serve “vibrant Roman cuisine featuring antipasti, pasta and more from Chef Mike Friedman of @redhendc & @allpurposedc,” the restaurant says on its Instagram page. AP Pizza will feature Italian coffee and pastries in the morning, paninis and salads for lunch, and pizza for dinner, Bethesda Beat reported.

The two restaurants were originally scheduled to open in 2022, but their openings were delayed due in part to issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Bethesda Beat.
