BETHESDA, MD — Bethesda Chevy Chase High School is no longer on lockdown because of police activity in the area, officials said Monday afternoon.

The lockdown has been lifted, and the school is proceeding with its regular dismissal schedule, police shared on X, formerly Twitter, at 3:10 p.m.

Authorities have not specified what action led to the lockdown.

The Montgomery County Police Department first shared news of the lockdown at 2:42 p.m.
