“As we emerge from isolation, it was important for us to fill this year’s festival with an inclusive, celebratory energy. Art has a way of healing not just those that make it, but those that take it in,” Bethesda Row Arts Festival co-Director Jon Gann said in a statement. “Art also inspires conversation and connection — something we are deficient in after these last few years."

Bethesda Row is located at 4827 Bethesda Ave. in Bethesda. The arts festival will take place two blocks from the Bethesda Metro Station. At the top of the Metro escalator, turn left through the bus terminal to Woodmont Avenue. Turn left on Woodmont and walk into the festival.

For people driving, the public garage in the middle of the festival is accessible from Bethesda Avenue via Arlington Road. Other public lots near the festival will also be open.

A jury of local artists will select award winners in each artistic discipline and award a grand prize for Best of Show. Award winners will be announced the morning of Oct. 9.

The Bethesda Row Arts Festival is sponsored by Bethesda Row, GW Primary & Specialty Care, Maryland Department of Transportation, Purple Line and Marriott Bethesda Downtown at Marriott HQ.
