Learn how to Paint in Watercolor

This Winter and for the upcoming New Year 2026, learn how to paint using the fresh and fun Watercolor medium with renowned artist, Vian Borchert, at The Yellow Barn Studio at Glen Echo Park.

The course will be onsite and in-person in the Studio starting on Jan 26 till March 9. The class is on Monday mornings from 9:30AM till 12PM at Glen Echo Park's Yellow Barn Studio located in Glen Echo, Maryland.

The course is designed for beginning and intermediate students to explore traditional watercolor and experimental watercolor techniques. Color theory and composition are emphasized through images based on still life and landscapes.

About Artist and Art Educator, Vian Borchert:

Borchert is a distinguished artist who has been teaching art classes in the DMV area for 2 decades. She is a notable alumni from Corcoran College of Art & Design George Washington University. Borchert exhibits nationally and internationally in museums and key galleries in major cities along having her artwork in world marketplaces such as: Artsy, 1stDibs.
