D.C. Beltway Shootings: Vigil Monday Night for Victims
Eulalio Tordil is accused of killing his estranged wife in a high school parking lot, followed by two more deaths, according to police.

MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, MD. — A vigil will be held Monday night for the victims of an apparent shooting spree last week. Three people were killed and three others were wounded in shootings Thursday and Friday.
The suspect, Eulalio Sevilla Tordil, will be in court Monday afternoon, facing three counts of first degree murder and other charges related to the shootings. Tordil was a federal law officer.
The vigil will be held from 7-8 p.m. Monday at Goshen United Methodist Church, 9251 Stewartown Rd.

Gladys Tordil, 44, was killed in the High Point High School parking lot in Beltsville. She was in the process of divorcing the suspect and had a court order requiring him to stay away. A man was also injured at the scene trying to defend Gladys Tordil.
Malcom Winffel, 45, of Boyds, was shot when he came to the aid of a woman during an attempted carjacking at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda. The woman and another good samaritan were injured.

Claudina Modina, 65, of Montgomery County, was killed in another attempted carjacking at a Giant grocery store in Silver Spring.
The Victims’ Rights Foundation will announce a new fund for all six victims at the vigil, according to Montgomery Community Media.
Eulalio Tordil had both his work and personal weapons confiscated by authorities after he was suspended from duty in March, according to Russ Hamill, chief of detectives for the Montgomery County Police Department.
The suspected shooter later purchased more guns, Hamill said Saturday Whether EulalioTordil obtained the new handgun legally or illegally has yet to be determined.
