Montgomery County Records 103 New COVID-19; Deaths Hit 810
Montgomery County has recorded 23,079 novel coronavirus cases and 810 deaths since early March.
BETHESDA, MD — The Maryland Health Department on Monday reported one more COVID-19 deaths and 103 new cases in Montgomery County, bringing the local death toll to 810 and the total number of cases to 23,079.
Another 40, health officials believe, had COVID-19 but died before ever getting tested. "Probable deaths" aren't included in the official fatality count until they are confirmed by a laboratory test.
Montgomery County — Maryland's most populous jurisdiction — has the highest number of deaths in the state. It also has the second highest number of confirmed cases, after Prince George's County, which has 30,088, according to the latest figures.

Across Maryland, there have been 127,791 cases, 3,817 confirmed deaths, and 144 "probable deaths." Of 338 people that are currently hospitalized, 85 are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
