Pedestrian Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run In Downtown Bethesda
A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run in the 4700 block of Elm Street in Bethesda, according to Montgomery County Police.
BETHESDA, MD — A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run in the 4700 block of Elm Street near a busy intersection in downtown Bethesda, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
Police officers responded to the scene of the incident at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday for the report of a pedestrian struck.
The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive, police said. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not remain on the scene, according to police.

Witnesses told Fox 5 that they saw a truck hit a man, stop briefly, and then leave the area. One witness said he saw an older man crossing the street in the crosswalk when he was hit by a truck.
