Police Locate Missing Bethesda Teenager

Michael Jeffrey Gura, 17, had been missing since July 3.

Montgomery County Police have located Michael Jeffrey Gura, the Bethesda teenager who July 3.

ABC7 first reported the news.

Gura, 17, was located in Maryland outside of Montgomery County, according to police spokeswoman Angela Cruz. It's not clear whether or not he had physcially returned home as of early Thursday afternoon.

"I can't tell you whether or not he's back, but he didn't return to the house—that's not how he was located," Cruz said.

Gura lives in the 4900 block of Sentinel Drive. Police said family had been concerned for his welfare since it was uncharacteristic of him to be out of touch, and concern for Gura's welfare spread across local listservs.
