Real Estate Team Lines Streets Of Bethesda, Chevy Chase with 8,500 American Flags
19-year tradition marks Independence Day.
Wondering about all those American flags lining the streets of Bethesda and Chevy Chase this July 4?
The flags are a tradition 19 years in the making, a project of Jane Fairweather, a community activist and sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Bethesda.
Fairweather and her real estate sales team took to the streets between June 25 and July 1, placing more than 8,500 American flags around town to mark Independence Day.

“The positive response from our neighbors who love waking up on July 4th to flag-lined streets has been overwhelming,” Fairweather said in a statement. “We do this as a tribute to both our country and to the community that has trusted us with all of their real estate needs for more than 30 years.”
