Silver Spring Teen Charged In Sexual Assaults At Bethesda Gym: Police
Police said the suspect had visited other LA Fitness gyms in Montgomery and Prince George's counties and believe there may be other victims.

BETHESDA, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department arrested an 18-year-old on charges of sexual assaulting two female customers at a fitness center in Bethesda last Friday, police said Wednesday.
Detectives with the department’s Special Victims Investigations Division charged Samba Dieng of Silver Spring with two sexual assaults at the L.A. Fitness in the 11400 block of Rockville Pike in Bethesda. Dieng was arrested at his home in Silver Spring on Wednesday.
In their investigation and with assistance from L.A. Fitness, Montgomery County Police said their detectives identified Dieng as a suspect. A warrant was obtained for Dieng's arrest charging him with second-degree rape, fourth degree sex offense and two counts of second-degree assault.

At about 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, police officers from the department’s 2nd District went to the L.A. Fitness gym where two female members of the gym reported being sexually assaulted while showering in the women’s locker room, police said.
Police said they determined that Dieng had been to several L.A. Fitness gyms in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties and believe that there may be additional victims.
