Bethesda’s been anticipating it for years, and today, it’s finally here – the U.S. Open has officially teed off atBy Sunday, golf’s national champion will be decided, and with the tournament right in their backyard, many Bethesda residents will be there to cheer him on.
The championship is expected to draw 250,000 spectators to Bethesda, and that means businesses are gearing up for a boost to the local economy and commuters are worrying about traffic.
