Strathmore Hosting National Philharmonic Performances In December
The Music Center at Strathmore will be hosting three performances by the National Philharmonic in December.

BETHESDA, MD — The Music Center at Strathmore will be hosting three performances by the National Philharmonic in December. The National Philharmonic showcases world-renowned guest artists in symphonic masterpieces.
On Dec. 9, music director Piotr Gajewski will lead a show inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and the West Side Story Suite by Leonard Bernstein, an orchestral arrangement of the musical’s iconic songs. Violinist Sarah Chang is returning to the National Philharmonic as the featured soloist for the performance.
The show starts at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 at Strathmore.

On Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18, the Music Center at Strathmore will be hosting the National Philharmonic’s performance of Handel’s Messiah, with Stan Engebretson as conductor.
The Dec. 17 show starts at 8 p.m. and the Dec. 18 show starts at 3 p.m.

Tickets, ranging from $19 to $99, are available online at nationalphilharmonic.org. Those 17 and under can attend National Philharmonic performances for free through the All Kids. All Free. All the Time. initiative.
