“Sometimes restaurants will say they are renovating when they're really closing, but there's no need to worry in this case — they have the construction permit in the window for the renovations,” Robert Dyer reported on Dec. 4.

Sweetgreen has several locations across the Washington, D.C., area.

“When we were in school, there were two choices: food that was slow, expensive, and fresh — or fast, cheap, and unhealthy. We saw an opportunity to create a business where quality was never sacrificed for convenience,” Sweetgreen says on its website.

“On August 1st 2007, two months after graduating, we opened Sweetgreen in Washington DC, and served our first customers with a vision to reimagine fast food,” the company said.
