Temporary Pedestrian Bridge Removal To Affect Traffic on Bradley, River

A USGA contractor will begin taking down the bridges, constructed for the U.S. Open, Thursday night.

A United States Golf Association contractor will begin the de-construction of temporary pedestrian bridges, put in place as part of the transportation plan for the U.S. Open at Thursday night.

The River Road pedestrian bridge, located on River Road near the intersection with Bradley Boulevard, will be removed beginning Thursday night. The construction will close the road from 10p.m. Thursday to 2a.m. Friday morning.

The Bradley Boulevard pedestrian bridge, located near the intersection of River Road, will begin around 9a.m. Tuesday, June 28, and should wrap up around noon that day. Bradley Boulevard will be closed during that time.

Montgomery County police and transportation officials will be in the area to help direct traffic and set up detours.
