Week in Review: July 4 - July 10
Pepco, the new MCPS superintendent, and the Lululemon case made headlines this week.

Following a three-day break to celebrate the Fourth of July, the news week in Bethesda began with some troubling news that a local teenager had Thankfully, by week’s end, Michael Jeffrey Gura, 17, was safe and unharmed.
This week, details were announced for the a Sept. 18 event to honor slain Lululemon employee Jayna Murray. In updates in that case, Brittany Norwood, Murray’s co-worker who is charged in her killing, Norwood’s lawyers said that competency issues could possibly play a role at her October trial, and that she is currently pleading not guilty in the case.
In other news this week, an was made in the robbery of the Capital One Bank on Bethesda Avenue. Sean Demitri Jackson, 30, is charged with armed robbery. Pepco in customer satisfaction in a national survey, and new MCPS superintendent Joshua P. Starr a busy first Board of Education meeting.
