Weitzman Museum Appoints Bethesda, Chevy Chase Residents To Board

Dede Feinberg and Ronald Paul have been appointed to the board of the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia.

BETHESDA/CHEVY CHASE, MD — Residents of Bethesda and Chevy Chase have been appointed to the board of the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia, the only museum in the nation dedicated to the American Jewish experience.

The museum, located at 101 South Independence Mall East in Philadelphia, announced Monday that it is welcoming seven new members to its board of trustees, including Bethesda's Diane “Dede” Feinberg and Chevy Chase's Ronald Paul.

Feinberg serves as secretary of the Jewish Democratic Council of America and vice chair of development. She is a member of the Jewish Agency for Israel’s Board of Governors.

At the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, Feinberg has served as president, campaign chair, and the president and campaign chair of the women’s division. She is also a former chair of the executive committee of the board of The Jewish Federations of North America.

Paul has been a practicing obstetrician-gynecologist for more than 40 years. He is a long-time volunteer who has provided medical consultations with the Charles E. Smith Life Communities and the Hirsch Health Center.

Paul is currently the president of the board of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington. He has served as chair of the United Jewish Endowment Fund, chair of Planned Giving for Jewish Agency for Israel-North American Council, and on the boards of the Jewish Foundation for Group Homes, the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, the Jewish Council for the Aging, and the Anti-Defamation League.

Established in 1976, the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History is located on Philadelphia’s Independence Mall. The Weitzman presents educational programs and experiences that preserve, explore and celebrate the history of Jews in America.
