
Anne Arundel Community College's first summer session begins May 28, but more classes will start May 31, June 17 and July 8 according to a press release.
The college offers courses in six, eight and 11-week sessions, as well as a weekend schedule.
Courses include general education in subjects such as sociology, psychology, biology, chemistry, math or English or a variety of courses from majors. Students who commute can sign up for online classes.

Courses offered in the shorter summer sessions cover the same depth of material as in a regular term, but are more focused, according to the press release
"These courses are especially good for students who want to make up a course that was canceled, who prefer the ... shorter sessions or who want to accelerate their academic progress," according to the release.

A schedule of classes on campus can be obtained at nearby public libraries or view online at www.aacc.edu.
Registration is currently underway online at myaacc.aacc.edu/register or by using the STARS touch-tone phone system, 410-777-2241, from 5 a.m. to midnight daily.
Registration can also be done by mail or in-person at the Arnold campus, AACC at Arundel Mills, the Glen Burnie Town Center or the Fort Meade Army Education Center.
