Around AACC: Week of April 18
It is going to be an exciting week at AACC with music, games, plays and an Earth Day celebration.

AACC celebrates Earth Day on Wednesday, April 20, at noon in the Student Union dining hall on the Arnold campus. The main event will be “SNAKES ALIVE!,” a national touring program that offers an exciting, hands-on, educational experience featuring a wide variety of live snakes. Participants will learn their role in nature and how to care for animals in captivity from herpetologist Tom Kessinich. For more information, call 410-777-2218.
Denim Day
On Thursday, April 21, AACC is sponsoring Denim Day, where staff and faculty can donate $1 and wear denim to work. The effort is in support of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and proceeds will benefit the Sexual Assault Crisis Center safe house run by . Donations will also be accepted that day in the Student Union dining hall.
'Big Love'
performed by The Theatre at AACC, written by Charles L. Mee based on The Suppliant Women by Aeschylus, will continue its run this week, with performances on at 8 p.m. in the Pascal Center for Performing Arts. The story follows 50 brides as they flee their grooms and wind up in a villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It features a crazy battle of the sexes complete with singing, dancing, a bathtub and cupcakes. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for senior citizens, AACC employees, groups and students; $5 for students with valid AACC student IDs. Easter Egg Hunt
This Saturday, April 23, AACC is sponsoring a community Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. on the quad of the AACC Arnold campus. The event is free but RSVP is required by today. Email kfherrera@aacc.edu or call 410-777-2218.
Music Clinic/Concert
On Friday, April 22, a free music clinic featuring the Marty Knepp trio will occur at 3 p.m. in the Cade Center for Fine Arts, room 224. The event is sponsored by the AACC Cultural Events Committee. At 8 p.m., the trio will perform in the Humanities Building, room 112. Tickets are $15 for general admission, $10 for AACC faculty/staff, and $5 with a valid AACC student ID.
