Drivers Injured, One Critically, in Head-On West River Crash
Anne Arundel County Police say there is no sign that speeding or alcohol use played a role in Wednesday's South County crash.

Two drivers were hospitalized, one in critical condition at Shock Trauma, following a head-on crash Wednesday morning in West River.
Anne Arundel County Police say the collision happened about 9:45 a.m. on Muddy Creek Rd (MD-468) near Chalk Point Road.
Investigators say a 2000 Buick Regal driven by Curtis Holland, 64, of 827 Ruxshire Drive in Arnold was southbound on Muddy Creek Road when it crossed the centerline. The Buick struck a northbound 2002 Toyota 4Runner driven by William G. Moore, 73, of 4305 Pennbrooke Court in West River.

Holland was taken by helicopter to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with critical injuries, police say. Moore was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
The preliminary cause of the crash appears to be Holland’s failure to remain right of center. Police say there were no signs of excessive speed or alcohol use.
