Four County Teams Set to Battle in Football Playoffs
The Class 4A playoffs start Friday, with Arundel, Meade, Old Mill and Broadneck facing off in the regional semifinals.

The high school football playoffs are set to start Friday at 7 p.m.
Four county teams qualified for the Class 4A tournament and will seek the East regional title and the chance to play for the state crown at M&T Bank Stadium in December.
Here's a quick rundown of the games at what's at stake.
Old Mill vs. Arundel
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Old Mill High School
Background: Old Mill is undefeated and beat Arundel 24-14 in September.
Meade vs. Broadneck
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Meade High School
Background: Both teams finished 8-2. Meade beat Broadneck 26-20 on Nov. 1.
Who to Pick?
Old Mill is the favorite as it swept the county season. But choosing a favorite among the other three is impossible. Arundel beat Meade. Meade beat Broadneck. But Broadneck beat Meade. So there you go.

- Meade was seeded fourth but made a run to the regional title in 2012.
- Old Mill won the regional and state title in 2011.
- Broadneck was the regional champion in 2010.
- Old Mill won the regional title with a double-overtime win over Arundel in 2009.
- Arundel won the regional titles in both 2007 and 2008. It reached the state title game in 2007.
