1)  Community Easter Egg Hunts

College Parkway Baptist – Sat., 10 a.m., rain or shine;

Cape St. Claire UMC – Sat., 11 a.m., rain or shine;

AACC – Sat., 1 p.m. – Pre-registration was required.

2)  Theatre at AACC presents “Big Love”

When/Where:  Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m., Pascal Center for the Performing Arts on the Anne Arundel Community College Arnold Campus. 

Why Go: Written by Charles L. Mee and based on “The Suppliant Women” by Aeschylus, the play follows 50 brides as they flee their grooms and wind up in a villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The performance includes a crazy battle of the sexes complete with song and dance, a bathtub and cupcakes. Note:  No one under 16 allowed.

Pricing: $15 general admission, $12 senior citizens, AACC employees, groups and students; $5 students with valid AACC student ID. 

3)  Earth Day Celebration at Quiet Waters

When/Where:  Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis

Why Go: Interactive activities aimed to teach the community about preserving, protecting and exploring nature will be the focus of the Earth Day celebration. Children and adults are provided hands-on environmental activities. The celebration will also include live music, kite flying, children story time, and a magic show.

Pricing:  Free.

When/Where:  Friday, 8 p.m., Humanities Building Room 112 on the AACC Arnold campus.

Why Go:  Knepp is a well-known local musician and teaches at AACC. He also directs the AACC Jazz Band. He will be offering a clinic on interactive musical listening at 3 p.m. on Friday in the Cade Center for Fine Arts Room 224.

Pricing: $15 general admission, $10 AACC faculty/staff, $5 with valid AACC student ID.

5)  BIG Book Sale

When/Where:  Saturday,  8 a.m. to 2 p.m., behind the Capital Gazette building on Gibralter right off of West Street in Annapolis.

Why Go: Sponsored by the Parole Rotary Club, over 60,000 new and used books will be available, with over 50% of the books new since the last sale.

Pricing: Fill a grocery bag for $30 or pay $1.50 for hardbacks, $1 for trade paperbacks and 50 cents for pocket paperbacks.
