Get Out: Weekend of July 23-24
From boating fun to man-eating plants, this weekend has a variety of entertainment available for local residents.

When/Where: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Dobbins Island on the Magothy River.
Why Go: Boaters enjoy festivities out on the water with fellow boaters. Proceeds from T-shirt sales go to the Maryland Special Olympics.

When/Where: Friday, Saturday night at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2 p.m., at the (CTA) theater on Bay Head Road now through Aug. 7.
Why Go: The of its all-star cast and production design. A portion of the proceeds goes to CTA.
Note: Little Shop of Horrors contains some comedic violence and mild adult language. Parental guidance suggested for children under age 10.

When/Where: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, , 1236 Jones Station Rd. in Arnold.
Why Go: Yard sale lovers will find a variety of items, as well as a food sale and car wash.
Price: Tables are $10. Call 410-757-7140 for more information.
When/Where: 7 p.m. on Sunday, in the Pascal Center for the Performing Arts. NOTE: This is a location change due to construction around the area of the outdoor amphitheater.
Why Go: Enjoy the patriotic numbers and exciting sounds of two of ’s musical performing groups, the AACC Wind Ensemble and the AACC Jazz Band.
Price: Free.

When/Where: Saturday at 7 p.m., International Music Institute
Why Go: A recital led by Dr. Charles Borowsk. Students from the U.S., Japan, Estonia, Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, and Germany will perform delightful musical solos and small ensembles.
When/Where: Sunday at 4 p.m.
Why Go: A concert by Joe Holt. Smooth piano improvisations by Joe Holt will feature jazz and popular standards, ragtime and stride, spirituals and original works. Holt is a featured entertainer for American Cruise Lines at ports along the Chesapeake Bay.
Price: Free, but donations are welcome.
