Jousting, music, dancing, and more. No excuse for not having fun this weekend.

When/Where: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., .
Why Go: The event has a long history at St. Margaret’s, starting around the time of the Civil War. Here modern jousts are viewed on the lawn, and other activities include an opening pageant, homemade baked goods sponsored by the Ladies Guild, meals prepared by the church Brotherhood and games for the children. The event’s Country Craft Faire features a variety of quality, hand-made items by local crafters.

Price: Admission is $8 per car or $5 for walk-ins over the age of 6 years.

4) Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company Carnival
When/Where: July 7 to 16, 6 to 11 p.m., Earleigh Heights Fire Station in Severna Park.
Why Go: The carnival features rides that will thrill young kids and teens, along with games and an assortment of food and beverages.
Price: Free admission and parking.
When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds in Crownsville.
Why Go: Entertainment features popular national and regional music and dance groups as well as a Little Leprechaun Land indoor kids area. Vendors will be offering authentic Irish crafts, foods, clothing and jewelry. Proceeds go to Hospice of the Chesapeake.
Price: Adults $20; kids 12 and under are free.
