Get Out: Weekend of June 24-25
Music, boating, and camping - just what you would expect around Broadneck this summer.

When/Where: Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m., through July 10, at the Children's Theatre of Annapolis on Bay Head Road.

When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., in downtown Eastport.
Why Go: The event features three stages with 27 local bands, food and drinks with activities for children & families.
Price: $15 at door, $50 for VIP (includes unlimited draft beer, t-shirt, cup, special VIP seating area and more). Kids 12 and under are admitted free.
3) Severna Park Baptist Church 4th Annual Car Show & Chicken BBQ
When/Where: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Severna Park Baptist Church grounds, 506 Benfield Road.
Why Go: Classic cars from around the area will be on display and a moon-bounce and playground area will be available for children.
Price: There is no cost to attend the car show. Chicken BBQ, hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks will be available for a small fee.
When/Where: The 21st Annual Thunder on the Narrows races will take place Saturday and Sunday, on Prospect Bay just south of the Kent Island Yacht Club grounds. Gates open at 10 a.m. with racing starting at noon.
Why Go: Up-close and personal racing action that is fun for the whole family.
Price: Admission is $7 for adults. Parking with free shuttle bus service will be under the Kent Narrows Bridge.

When/Where: 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. on Sunday at Sandy Point State Park.
Why Go: Families are allowed to tent camp and supply their own food and drinks. Picnic tables and grills will be available to use. S’mores will be provided. Participants can also enjoy the Park’s Scales and Tales demonstrations (an environmental education program where participants see wildlife up close) and Owl Prowls.
Price: The cost is only $15/family (up to 6 people). Limited space is available so register first. The camping cost includes entrance into the day-use area on both Saturday and Sunday. Registration is advised.
