Heroin Found in Car Stopped for Robbery: Police

A Baltimore man accused of assaulting and robbing a woman allegedly had heroin in a car with him. The woman driver was also charged.

A man who reportedly argued with a woman, knocked her to the ground and robbed her, didn’t get away from the scene fast enough to avoid arrest.

Anne Arundel County Police say Daniel Constantine, 19, of Baltimore, robbed a woman outside a store Wednesday in the 700 block of Church Street in Brooklyn. The victim told police Constantine yelled at her as she walked into a store, waited for her outside the business and then knocked her to the ground.

Witnesses told police that Constantine was a passenger in a car leaving the scene, so officers stopped the vehicle. The victim identified Constantine as her assailant. Gerri Watts, 34, of Baltimore was the vehicle’s driver.

Inside the vehicle, police found a pink wallet that contained the victim’s identification card. Officer also found eight suspected gel capsules of heroin and other prescription medications in the car.

Constantine was charged with robbery and possession of CDS not marijuana; Watts was charged with possession of CDS not marijuana.
