Heroin, Opiate Treatment Drug Seized in Arrests (ICYMI)

Suspects from Hanover, Pasadena and Glen Burnie face charges of selling heroin and Suboxone, which is used to treat addicts.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Three men are charged with drug trafficking after they were reportedly stopped in a car that contained heroin and a prescription drug used to treat opiate addiction.

The men were all in a car that was stopped Wednesday in the area of Quarterfield Road near Route 97.

During the traffic stop, Anne Arundel County Police said officers foumd 45 bags of heroin (15.49 grams) and 71 strips of 8mg Suboxone. A medical website says Suboxone is a prescription medicine used to treat adults who are addicted to opioids, either prescription or illegal.

Along with the narcotics, $560 in cash was seized from the vehicle.

The suspects were charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute Suboxone, and possession of Suboxone.

The estimated street value of the heroin is $1,858, while police say the Suboxone is valued at $1,420.

The suspects charged are: Steven Gore, 30, of Hanover; Marcus Gray Jr., 25, of Pasadena; and Joshua Glatz, 27, of Glen Burnie.
