Maryland Sea Level Projected to Rise 6 Feet by 2100

By 2050, the sea level could rise 1 to 2 feet. But by 2100, it could be 6 feet, experts said.

A team of experts project a sea-level rise for MarylandΒ between 1 and 6 feet by the end of this century.

The Washington Post reported on the findings by the Maryland Commission on Climate Change this week, which could have drastic impact on localΒ waterfront property owners.

According to the commission's findings, the "coastal sea-level rise for Maryland will range from slightly less than a foot to more than two feet by mid-century, and from two to six feet by the end of the century."
