One Firefighter Hurt In Arnold Blaze
Smoke alarms helped two Arnold residents escape an overnight house fire, says the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

ARNOLD, MD — Smoke alarms alerted two Arnold residents that their house was on fire early Tuesday, allowing them to safely escape the blaze, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The fire was reported in the 900 block of Deer Creek Run about 3:25 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to see flames coming from a second-floor window of the two-story, single-family home. Firefighters from Anne Arundel County, the Naval Academy, and Annapolis City extinguished the fire in less than 20 minutes.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment. The residents were not hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by members of the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosive Investigation Unit, and no dollar loss has been established.
