A Pasadena woman reportedly broke into a house, used pepper spray on a woman and then hid in the bathroom of a home, police say.

PASADENA, MD — A Pasadena woman who allegedly doused a burglary victim with pepper spray was found hiding in the bathroom of an area home, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Jessica Gilbert, reportedly broke into an apartment Saturday afternoon, where a woman was alone in an apartment.

Investigators say Gilbert entered the residence in the 100 block of Kenwood Road armed with a pocket knife and pepper spray. She allegedly sprayed the woman in the face with the chemical, took her money and property, and fled.

While searching the area, officers saw Gilbert's vehicle partially hidden in a yard several blocks away; police say she was found hiding in a bathroom at the residence. Officers recovered the knife and pepper spray from the residence and the stolen money was in Gilbert’s vehicle.
