Shooting Victim Forced into Vehicle, Shot During Escape: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say a Baltimore man tried to flee two unknown attackers in Glen Burnie and was shot in the chase.

A Baltimore man tells police he was accosted at gunpoint by two unknown men who forced him into a car, then shot him when he tried to escape in Glen Burnie.
Calvin Eugene Barrett, 60, from Baltimore City, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is in stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim told investigators that just after midnight he was in the 3800 block of Rogers Avenue in Baltimore when two unknown suspects approached him. One of the suspects reportedly had a handgun and ordered Barrett to get in the back seat of the vehicle. The suspects then drove to the area of Baltimore Avenue and Newfield Drive in Glen Burnie.
At that point, Barrett reportedly escaped from the suspects and they chased after him on foot. While chasing the victim, the suspects fired several shots at him, striking him multiple times, police say.

No suspect descriptions have yet been released. No arrests have been announced in the case.
The vehicle involved -- a gold 2005 Chrysler SUV -- was located in Baltimore County near the Baltimore City line.
