Third Time is Another Charm for Jay Rhee
Cape resident successfully defends his title and wins again on "Jeopardy!" He faces more challengers tonight.

Jay Rhee of Cape St. Claire will need to dig deeper into his collection of humorous anecdotes when he makes yet another appearance Thursday night on Jeopardy!
He has already told Alex Trebek and a national TV audience about his money eating dog, a regrettable over-exposure at Red Lobster, and a less than perfect first date with his future wife.
Rhee will compete again on Thursday night’s broadcast of Jeopardy! having won for the third straight time Wednesday night. Rhee took home an additional $25,601 for a three day total of over $70,000.

The competition from Washington, DC’s Kartik Venguswamy and Kate Sparich from New Jersey was formidable, especially in the early round. Rhee pulled ahead by answering the entire category about former U.S. President Lyndon Johnson.
The second Double Jeopardy round continued to go back and forth with Venguswamy pulling ahead with a correct answer on a Daily Double about Styx mythology. (The Styx they referred to is a river in mythology separating the earth from the underworld, not the '80s hair band.)

Rhee built another lead late in the round and answered the Final Jeopardy question on literary characters with “Who is Rhett Butler?” to secure the win and another night on the program.
Rhee can be seen on Jeopardy! tonight at 7 p.m. on WMAR.
