1.) WEATHER » August begins with a bang: thunder, lightning and heavy rain are all in the forecast. A half inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain can be expected. Highs will be in the low-80s. 4.) YOU SAID IT » "Starbucks is boring, and overpriced. Las Vegas has a little private coffee shop that is 100 times better. They have a special deal when vegan pastries are one dollar each, and coffee a dollar. Good coffee. A big cup. In house fair trade roasted beans. Both of us had 2 coffees and 2 pastries for under 5 dollars, total. The servers don't wear uniforms.
