Maxwell Meet and Greet Rescheduled to Avoid Eid Conflict

In order to accommodate Prince George's County's Muslim residents, county school officials are rescheduling a meet and greet with new schools CEO Kevin Maxwell from Thursday, Aug. 8 to Tuesday, Aug. 13. 

August 8 falls on Eid al-Fitr, the holiday during which adherents of the Muslim faith break the month-long Ramadan fast. 

The rescheduled meet and greet will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Duval High School at Good Luck Road in Lanham.

The event is designed to gather feedback from residents on changes they'd like to see Maxwell implement as he prepares to take over the school system on Aug. 1.
